Kinsale wrecking

Last weekend the lads fishing on the Silver Dawn out of Kinsale had some excellent wreck fishing.

The skippers of Silver Dawn, Mike Dennehy and Pedro Walsh have an expert knowledge of the wrecks down there and when weather allows, you will find them zipping out to these nautical graveyards in search of their much coveted treasures, namely cod, pollack, ling and whatever else may come along.

The grounds off this part of Ireland are absolutely littered with wrecks, remnants of two World wars and how the German wolf packs decimated the Allied shipping lanes. For us fishermen though there is always a bright side!
